Pre Dawn Running.............

Tuesday Morning - Medium Run (12.5km/35.1km)
I wanted to get a longer run in this morning and was
kinda hoping for 13kms. I went for almost an out and
back course so i took the Garmin and headed out over
towards the Knox bike tracks in a round about fashion.
I should have realised that the way i was going was
very dark for most of the way and this kept my pace
down to less than usual. Anyway it ended up not
quite as long on the way back so i added a bit but
still only came up with 12.5kms total for the run. Oh
well never mind, I'll try a different way next time!
A very slow 81mins for the distance with very little
visibility so i'm not concerned with the time.

I always have trouble with an "out and back" if it's a time I'm aiming for. I always end up with a negative split so have to try and head for a bit longer on the "out", otherwise it's up and down the road a few times to make up the extra bit.

Looks like yout training is going really well though - are those long runs finally paying off in your track times do you think?

All the long distance running is paying
off in terms of strength i think. I've
just managed to PB in the 100 which is
another sprint PB that took a long time
to break. I've just got to stay injury
free if i can!
