Monday Morning - Medium Recovery (3)
10km's this morning trying to run through the jarring
soreness that came on during my long run yesterday.
I guess the feeling got a little better during the run but
it took about 20mins to start to improve. I have been
doing most of my running on pavement and my long
run shoes (Kayano's) are now over 700k's old. I will
be using my Mizuno Nirvana's tomorrow and see
how they go. (10km - 59:12 easy).

SM, as you have 2 pairs of shoes that you run in, the best suggestion I can give you or anyone who cares to listen, NEVER run in the same pair two days in a row, allow the shoes a greater chance to recover.

And yep, sometimes around the 700 mark they start to give, nearly time to start thinking of replacing.

My Kayanos I bought after the Christmas sales are due for replacement too.
I have enough trouble justifying $200+ shoes to my wife without having to negotiate two pairs.

Yes it can be an expensive business can't it!
Stu - I never wear the same shoes twice
in a row but it did always prefer to
wear my Kayano's on the longer runs as i
felt they gave the best cushioning.
Maybe they aren't doing the job properly
now?
