Tuesday Evening - Boxing Bags 6 x 3min Rnds
6 rounds on the boxing bags this evening followed by
a little medicine ball work.


Tuesday Morning - Medium Street Run - 10kms (4)
A very very cold morning and of course i forgot my
gloves didn't i. It was even T-shirt and shorts to run in
but after a few minutes i was warm enough - well most
of me anyway! I must have been going along quite well
as i passed my usual marker a little quicker than usual
I decided to just keep the pressure on a little but not too
much. I ended up covering the distance in 54:19
which at 5:26 pace is a bit quicker than i normally
train at. I'm quite happy with the run though, my
legs must have been a bit fresher than they have
been for a while.

I don't know about shorts and t-shirt for this morning........Didn't the cold register until after you headed out....lol

Very cool on Tuesday morning, according to Weatherzone it was zero at 6am in Werribee....

Re the targetted 800s in the summer, I will do more top end speed training but not over the top. Throughout winter I will continue to do 400s or 300s on Thu nights and will reduce the recovery more and more. Winter will point towards the HM in Sep and then I will start to include more 200 reps, 300s & 400s (nothing shorter). Of course as time goes by these reps will be done faster than they currently are. At the moment my 400 reps are being done at 1500 pace, that will be increased to 1k pace throughout winter and then continue from there. Thats the plan anyway.
